A Lake District barn in a unique position located just a stroll away from all the many restaurants, pubs and attractions of bustling Bowness whilst offering traditional Lakeland character with contemporary style and comfort close to Lake Windermere.

The Barn is an annexe to the original farmhouse which has been sympathetically restored with private access via 3 steps, on to a cosy, patio area with table and chairs. The French windows open up into a well- appointed open plan kitchen/ living area with breakfast bar and stools. The living area offers beautiful fell views for you to enjoy whilst simply, relaxing on the sofa, catching up on some leisurely reading, enjoying a movie on the smart TV or even resurrecting some old card skills and playing a game or two. The kitchen includes oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine, as well as the glasses, crockery, pans and utensils that you may need during your stay.

The bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower with both traditional and waterfall options, toilet and washbasin with light up mirror and shaver point and offers a selection of local Bath House toiletries. The charming bedroom has a king-size bed, exposed beams and stonework above the cosy window seat, ample storage space and a wall mounted tv.

The barn is located in a perfect position to enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer. Feel free to leave the car parked in the private drive and explore the area on foot, with many great walks accessible straight from the door (for instance a brisk uphill walk for stunning views from Post Knott), catch the ferry (just 5 mins walk away) and head across Lake Windermere to explore its quieter side, the delights of Beatrix Potter’s house, the Cuckoo Brow Inn and Hawkshead village or hop on a local bus and head further afield to Grasmere and beyond to more fells. Not forgetting the delights of the water: you’re a stone's throw from the lake and an array of activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, wakeboarding, open water swimming or, for those who prefer a more relaxing option, take a cruise from Bowness Bay which is just minutes walk away.
