About this space
Resting in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, Southern Nights is the perfect secluded getaway for couples looking to explore the natural beauty of the National Park or visit the exciting attractions of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This custom-built cabin is designed to be a romantic mountain retreat for couples seeking a peaceful and private cabin stay.
The space
The cozy interior of the cabin features a honeymoon loft bedroom with a queen bed and high vaulted ceilings. A private bathroom with a shower is connected to the bedroom. The downstairs includes a living area with comfortable furnishings in front of a fireplace, made by quality brands such as Pottery Barn and American Leather. Connected to the downstairs living area is a fully stocked kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster) with everything needed to cook and eat full meals, plus a Keurig K-Duo coffee machine with complimentary coffee pods, creamer, and sugar. Southern Nights is outfitted with modern decor that is warm and inviting.
There are two TVs for indoor entertainment. One is in the loft bedroom and is viewable from the bed, and the other is a 50-inch mounted above the fireplace downstairs. The upstairs TV has a DVD player with some of our favorite movies, and the downstairs TV has a Roku with a complimentary Netflix subscription and Spectrum channels. High speed fiber internet works wireless in all areas of the cabin with a password provided at check-in.
The exterior of the cabin features two levels of porches. The upper porch is accessible directly through the front door and has two rocking chairs. The porch is covered which allows guests to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the rocking chairs even during rain showers or seasonal snow. The lower porch is accessible by a pathway around the side of the cabin and includes a deluxe oversized hot tub. The back side of the cabin has an outdoor eating area with picnic table and park-style charcoal grill.
Southern Nights offers seclusion away from the bustle of local tourism and is a convenient 9 to 15 miles to most major attractions in the area. A full service grocery store with pharmacy is only 7 miles away.
This cabin is a dream retreat for couples. We aim to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, and we look forward to hosting you!
Guest access
Southern Nights is located up a hill in the woods behind a pond in a private community called Arnold Estates.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS ABOUT SOUTHERN NIGHTS
Note: We give these completely transparent disclaimers to help guests make the best booking decisions for their preferences and needs. If you decide to proceed with booking Southern Nights after reading the disclaimers, we expect to not be negatively reviewed for anything communicated accurately and transparently here.
* Drive time to most major attractions in the area is 17-32 minutes (8 to 17 miles depending on what you plan to visit). Dollywood is approximately a 22 minute drive. Drive times vary based on weather and traffic.
* The driveway has one steep straight incline that is approximately 40 yards long. A car without four-wheel-drive will need to increase speed to drive up this incline. While these types of driveways are common in the Smoky Mountain area, many who visit from out of town are not accustomed to driving on these steep inclines. Please plan for this when approaching the cabin and increase speed accordingly to make it up the hill.
* The hot tub on the lower porch is only accessible by a short walkable path around the outside of the cabin. It is uncomfortable to walk to the hot tub during bad weather. We recommend wearing shoes to walk down the gravel path to the hot tub. The hot tub is under a covered porch, so if you do choose to walk down during heavy rain or snow you will still be able to enjoy the hot tub.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS ABOUT ALL MOUNTAIN CABINS
Since you’re booking a mountain vacation, please be aware that nearly all cabins in the area have unique characteristics that you might not find at an urban condo or a beach house:
* The Smoky Mountains are the native habitat for many creatures big and small. This includes bears, mice, snakes, and lots of bugs. We do our best to keep the critters out and have regular pest-control service (three times more frequent than the standard service used by most cabins in the area), but every once in a while a critter may find its way in. Local law requires that food not be left outside at any time unless it is properly discarded in trash cans. The guest is responsible for any run-ins with wildlife.
* Curvy mountain roads may be hard to navigate in poor weather. Please check the weather report before booking and dates of travel. Occasionally in the winter the mountain roads aren't drivable due to ice and snow, and snow chains and/or 4WD may be required on many roads in the area. It is a good idea to purchase travel insurance if there is a possibility of canceling your trip due to the weather, as we follow AirBnB’s strict cancellation policy and cannot refund for weather-related reasons.
* Cell phone service is often poor or nonexistent, so print or save to map app directions and other important cabin info before embarking on the adventure. Also plan to connect mobile phones to wifi after arrival.
* Well water is different from city water. It is often crystal clear, but it is possible to see mineral sediment in the water. It is safe to drink, but pack bottled water if this sounds undesirable. Also keep in mind that the hot tub is filled with well water. If the hot tub has a small amount of sediment in the bottom, it is not because it is unclean, but rather because it was filled with well water. The hot tub is completely emptied and cleaned before every stay, and the filter is replaced regularly.
