Atali Lodge at Created Country is in the Cherokee Nat Forest, 10 min from Tellico Plains and Cherohala Skyway. Enjoy 17 acres with 1.25 miles of ever expanding walking trails next to a creek and brooks. Relax on 1 of 4 porches or in the spa that is covered and screened in. Keep an eye out for those pesky gnomes.

Atali means mountain in Cherokee

The master bedroom is quite large with a king size bed. 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed.

There is a wood burning fireplace in the living area with bundles of wood and fire starters available for purchase. Depending on availability.

We have a fully equipped kitchen and grill outside. Feel free to bring groceries and charcoal for the grill.

We have free WiFi with subscriptions for Hulu Live, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Amazon Music set up for your entertainment. A TV in the living room as well as both bedrooms which are all smart TVs so you can login into any additional streaming accounts you may have.

Since we are located in the mountains, there is no cell service but once you get connected to the WiFi, most phones nowadays offer WiFi calling. You’ll need to look up directions on how to set up your specific phone. There is a house phone for emergencies.

Our water source here is from a well on the property and cannot guarantee its quality/safety for drinking purposes. However, I would say the same thing if it was city water. I always recommend drinking filtered water. We plan on adding a R/O filter system in the future.

Guests have access to the entire cabin as well as a trail system throughout the property. Please respect the privacy of other cabins. Stay on trails at all times and please obey any signs posted.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

Gnome Hunt: our property seems to be a gathering place for these little guys. You may notice quite a few of them... although they can hide pretty well. Fortunately, if you can get close enough before they’re able to hide, they freeze and are unable to move while human eyes are upon them. In the near future, if our guests can spot them all and give us an accurate count, they will win a prize. We’re not currently at this prize stage yet but it’s still fun to try and spot em’ all.

ROMANCE PACKAGE: $35
-Fresh rose petals on the bed.
-Small assortment of chocolates.
-Personalized card. You tell us the inscription you want. (up to 100 characters).
-Lipstick Letter on the bedroom mirror. Personalized with the inscription you want (up to 100 characters).

BIRTHDAY PACKAGE: $45
-Cake with single candle (cake and icing of your choice. Common flavors please)
-Balloons. 1 birthday Mylar balloon (depending on availability) and 2 standard balloons. If Mylar balloon is not available, you will receive 5 standard balloons.
-Card. Personalized with your inscription, up to 100 characters.

AT LEAST ONE WEEK OF ADVANCE NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR THE ROMANCE AND BIRTHDAY PACKAGE.

CLEANING FEES:

$200 fee for evidence of smoking in the cabin.

$20 fee for unwashed dishes.

$50 extra cleaning fee for excessive messiness. Please leave the cabin as you found it.

$200 extra cleaning fee if there is evidence of a pet. We have a no pet policy, which includes service/ support animals due to medical conditions.


We know that there might be concerns about cleanliness so we want you to know that we go above and beyond normal cleaning practices here. Besides the normal cleaning you’d find at most rentals, we also wash ALL linens after every guests, every time. We regularly drain and clean the spa as well as clean the spa filters after every guest. We’re making sure all door/cabinet knobs/handles, all remotes and other consistently touched items are getting sanitized between each of our guest bookings. We’re also blocking off at least one day (unless otherwise noted with an asterisk) between bookings to further sanitize our cabin with the use of an ozone generator. If you ever have questions about our cleaning practices, we’re happy to answer them.

We have a relatively low cleaning fee (especially for what we do) and in order for us to keep it that low we ask that guests leave our cabin as they found it, clean. Thank you.
