Located midway on the Brew Ridge Trail, but 500 yards off the byway, so guests have a quiet retreat. Escape the city to the gentle rolling hills and pastoral views of our Sugar Creek property, located on the "Sunshine Side of the Mountain". Get ready for stunning sunsets set against the backdrop of breathtaking mountain views. This 5-acre property is ideally situated midway along the 151 Craft Beverage Trail, surrounded by over a dozen craft breweries, wineries, and cideries, yet far enough off 151 so that Sugar Creek is also a quiet haven.

Experience Cottagecore at its finest. When you arrive at the "Sugah Shack" you will be greeted with modern farm charm and luxe accommodations. Snuggle by the gas fireplace and binge your favorite streaming shows on the large screen TV. Close the blackout curtains and sleep in, stretched out in the luxurious king bed. Relax and have your coffee on the enclosed porch or take in the view while swaying in the hammock in the shade of your private outdoor pavilion. Enjoy a meal at the picnic table or grab a brew and gather around the gas fire pit. With all the modern conveniences at your fingertips, no attention to detail has been spared to maximize your comfort and enjoyment. You will want to come back again and again.

We are less than a mile from the town of Nellysford, 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive, and 30 minutes from historic Charlottesville (and 45 minutes from Lynchburg.)

A spacious closet with 2 luggage racks for extended stays, blackout curtains for sleepy mornings and privacy, tall windows for picturesque views, 42-inch Smart TV (includes YouTube TV, Hulu, HBO Max, Phone Mirroring), bedside dimmable lights with individual switches so you can read your favorite novel while your partner sleeps soundly. BATHROOM
Spacious and bright with plenty of counter space. Full tub/shower combo. Toilet paper, towels, wash cloths, makeup towels, hand soap, and Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash are provided. Hair dryer, and protective counter pad for heat styling tools. Adjustable LED motion-activated night light.

KITCHEN
You won't mind doing the dishes when you see the stunning landscape and mountain views from the window over the farm sink. Beautiful, bright, and fully equipped kitchen. Full-sized stainless-steel appliances: Refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave. Toaster, drip coffee maker, Keurig, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, hand mixer, crockpot, colander, stock pots, and pans. Basic condiments, seasonings, and cooking oils are provided along with dish soap, paper towels, and basic cleaning supplies. Feel free to store your groceries on the island shelves (or in the pantry closet found in the fully equipped laundry room). LED motion-activated night light for late night snacks. Dimmable Ceiling Lights. Fire extinguisher.

COFFEE BAR
The kitchen includes a bonus coffee bar with standard drip coffee pot and Keurig along with a large selection of coffee, tea, & cocoa K-pods, sugar, and sugar substitutes. Decaffeinated selections included.

LAUNDRY ROOM
Full-size washer/dryer, vacuum, broom/dustpan, Swiffer mop, first-aid kit, iron, ironing board, and pantry space. Septic-friendly washing detergent provided. Fire extinguisher.

BACK PORCH
This is a true extension to the cottage space. This special flex space has adjustable (vinyl) storm-to-screen windows. Four-seater sofa with chaise, coffee table, and 2-person bistro style table/chair set. 2 ceiling fans and space heater. During the warmer months, slide the windows all the way down to convert the space into a screened-in porch or close them and turn on the space heater to remain cozy on a chilly day. No matter the weather, enjoy the mountain views while sipping your coffee, working on your laptop, or relaxing taking in the colorful sunsets behind the Blue Ridge.

FRONT PORCH
Maybe the smallest front porch in Virginia but great for sitting and watching the sunrise over the east side of the mountains. Inviting, covered entry with smart keypad lock on the front door.

OUTDOOR PAVILION
Cedar open-air pavilion with gravel floor. 6 Adirondack chairs and (seasonal) gas fire bowl. 2 hammock stands. (Portable hammocks/ straps stored in the cottage or BYO.) Adjacent wood picnic table.

We have two security cameras for the safety of our guests and property. One covers the driveway and the other covers the far side of our house. We are not monitoring any gathering areas inside or outside.

Guests of the Sugah Shack have access to the cottage, cedar pavilion, and front acreage of our Sugar Creek property. There is also a luxury treehouse on the property, whose guests can enjoy the treehouse, the surrounding land, and the rear acreage of the property.

Our goal is to provide everything you need for a comfortable and stress-free stay. We provide the basics - linens, towels, toilet paper, hand and bathing soap/shampoo/conditioner, paper towels, light cleaning supplies, dish soap, laundry detergent, and trash can liners. Think of these amenities as a starter kit - we recommend you bring additional supplies as appropriate for the duration of your stay.
