Fern Hook Vacation Cabins are located nearby Jedidiah Smith State Park in the tiny hamlet of Hiouchi, California. Indulge yourself in a private setting of magnificent redwoods carpeted with ferns. Our newly constructed cabins with full kitchens will provide deluxe accommodations while you enjoy this natural wonderland.

We are pet friendly, but require a 30$ per pet fee, for each reservation.

Fern Hook Cabins were designed and built to blend into the forested landscape they inhabit. They are hand built utilizing, sustainably harvested redwood, sourced from a small local mill. Some of the wood was harvested on site, from salvaged trees. The cabins were designed to have a minimal impact on the environment, with energy conservation being a primary focus. Each cabin is tucked into its own grove of trees, providing a feeling of privacy, while still retaining easy access. The cabins are still close enough to each other to accommodate large families and groups, that may need to rent multiple cabins. At Fern Hook we strive to clean, tasteful accommodations in the heart of the redwood forests.

At Fern Hook, each guest will have a private cabin with a full kitchen and bathroom. Each unit has its own private parking and access.
