A spacious self contained one bed cottage, bed can be a super king or two singles, on Speyside whisky trail, in rural location, 10min drive/ 35-40min walk from centre of Aberlour, spectacular views, patio garden, pets welcome. We have Farm animals to meet, many Distillery’s, local attractions, restaurants, pubs & shops all a short drive away, perfect for quiet getaway & exploring the beautiful area with its countryside, beaches & mountains, suitable for a couple/friends sharing/couple with baby.

A comfortable, cosy but spacious cottage in rural countryside location with spectacular views over farm fields and mountains.
The cottage has one bedroom with a bed which can be configured as a super king or as twin beds and a large wardrobe, a living room with dining area with a dining table, a three seater sofa and shelves with books, dvd’s and maps etc, a shower room with a large walk in shower, toilet and sink, a separate fully fitted kitchen with pots and pans, utensils cutlery, crockery and glassware for you to prepare and cook meals, there are lots of hand crafted items in the cottage, the coffee table, side tables, clock and lamps are all crafted from whisky casks and lids from speyside cooperage all made by Mark.
The cottage has its own private entrance and patio garden with outdoor sitting and dining area and access to the lawned area next to patio in front of the farm house, all in a quiet rural spot attached to a farm house surrounded by fields, with its own parking space, we are a 10 minute drive from the centre of Aberlour, very close to The Macallan distillery.
The cottage is suitable for a couple, two people sharing or a family with a baby/ young child.

The old tack room is one of two cottages converted in the farm steading (the other being The old coo shed-Nether Tomlea farm) so perfect if you want to come with family or friends and have your own space.

We have pigs, chickens and ducks for you to meet during your stay and at some points in the year sheep as well (all fenced in) There are also horse stables with horses situated at the bottom of our track.

You have your own private entrance from the patio through double patio doors.

The old tack room is one of two one bedroom cottages converted from the side wings of the old steading the second cottage being The old coo shed, so if we don’t have availability at The old tack room on your dates take a look at The old coo shed.

We are around a 35 minute walk or 10 minute drive to Aberlour village where there is Aberlour distillery, Walkers shortbread factory and walkers shortbread shops, various shops, pubs, cafes, a Chinese takeaway, a fish and chip shop, Spey larder shop and deli, a butchers/bakers and a
co-op supermarket, we are also around a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to The Macallan distillery which is our nearest distillery.

We offer a simple laundry service for a fee as there isn’t a washing machine in the property details are in the information booklet provided in the property.

A charcoal Bbq is available on request (charcoal not included).

Please note currently we have no facilities for charging electric vehicles, trickle charging by three pin plug is also not available, there are charge points at craigellachie filling station and down in Aberlour.
