Oliver and Lacey (the resident cats) would love to welcome you to Our Catty Shack!

This spiritual retreat is nestled between imposing ridgelines, abuts a state forest, and faces the powerful Tennessee river. Enjoy dramatic sun and moon rises and falls. Climb our massive boulders. Luxuriate in the hot tub while feasting your eyes on tall trees, bald eagles, and clear constellations.

Only 15 minutes to downtown Chattanooga - with the peace of the country - enjoy the best of both worlds here.

When you arrive at Our Catty Shack you will pull into our garage driveway, which has space for up to two vehicles. If you require additional parking, you may use space in the church lot immediately next door.

The garage is detached from the house and is where Oliver, Lacey, August, and Memo (the indoor/outdoor cats) are based. They have food, water, bedding and HVAC in the garage, and the garage is not a guest access area. The house is not a cat access area, unless you choose it to be. There is a cat door in the garage that allows them in and out. There is a cat door in the house that allows them out only. If you love cats, then this is the Shack for you!

Exiting your vehicle, you'll climb some concrete and rock stairs and steps to reach the first level of the house, entering through the back door. On the way to the back door you'll enjoy a dramatic view of our boulders and the trees of Prentice Cooper State Forest. You'll also see our hot tub, bbq/grill, firepit areas, and outdoor dining areas.

When you enter the house you'll be in the mud and laundry room. From there you'll enter the kitchen, and the rest of the main floor. The main floor contains a dining area, sitting areas, large picture windows facing the river, a study (with NO TV (bring your own if you like) but rather books and vinyl and a turntable and speakers), a small pink bedroom with a queen bed, closet and desk, and a full bathroom.

Going upstairs, you'll find a loft with a small loft bedroom (open to the main space), a small loft desk area, and access to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a lovely en suite bathroom with a skylight shower, and sliding doors allowing access to the grand upstairs balcony overlooking the river and mountain views.

This 1600 square foot cabin shack and the property's resident cats are waiting for your relaxing and spiritually full vacation retreat.

Guests have access to the entire home, yard, and driveway. Access to the garage is not permitted (this is the cats' home base and our storage area).

* The Shack has excellent WiFi, but generally no cellular reception. Please plan ahead.

* The Shack is technically in the *central* time zone, but Chattanooga runs on the *eastern" time zone, so we run on the *eastern* time zone -- please set your phones to *eastern* when staying at the Shack.
