About this space
A beautifully remodeled flat in light filled walkout basement with 1 bed /1 bath flat that sleeps 4, w/island kitchen, luxury queen bed, electric fireplace, full sleeper sofa, coffee bar, game/card table & corner desk. French doors with key less access lead to a relaxing covered patio, outdoor bar, grill and sitting area. Private covered parking. There are full time tenants above the flat. They are very considerate and know to limit noise, especially during quiet hours of 10pm - 10am.
The space
The Olympic National Park visitor center is one block away, on the same street. The beautifully remodeled flat in a lovely walkout basement has high end, stylish finishes and open concept. It is a spacious, private (1) bedroom that sleeps (4) with a brand-new queen-size luxury bed with high quality linens and electric adjustable base for raising head of bed for reading, etc. The living room's convertible sofa futon easily converts to a very comfy full-size bed by the fireplace. The contemporary tiled bathroom has a spacious custom-tiled tub/shower with top end fixtures, plush towels and toiletries (hypoallergenic/sensitive skin products). For ambiance, use our eco-electric fireplace with many adjustable settings via remote control or take part in a competitive card, board game or puzzle on the brand-new card table/chairs. The space is approx. 900 sq ft. The kitchen is fully stocked (cookware, dishware, utensils) with a deep stainless-steel sink, free-standing electric stove/oven, MW, DW, full size frig, coffee bar with freshly ground organic, free-trade coffee, organic teas, cocoa and filter water dispenser, toaster and other appliances as needed. There is also a separate dining area with a vintage table/chairs and coffee bar.
You’ll find an expansive, forest lined (1) acre back yard with an outside covered patio, an outdoor bar, grill and patio furniture to enjoy the outdoors in privacy and comfort. On the east side of the property is a small orchard with cherries (Rainier and other), pears (Bartlett and Asian) and (4) varieties of apples; we hope to introduce berries next season.
A guest book will be in your room with important info such as emergency contacts and safety info, WiFi, TV (with Hulu and Netflix) and other helpful instructions, local brochures, hospitality policies, etc. There are full time tenants above the flat. They are very considerate and know to limit noise, especially during quiet hours of 10pm - 10am.
Guest access
This space has its own private entrance. The spacious covered patio and yard are yours to enjoy. You can choose to interact with your hosts as you wish, but other than greeting, guests typically pursue their own travel agendas and seldom interact with hosts unless they request so. Due CV-19 we are practicing social distancing for ours and our guest's safety!
Other things to note
Please read our AMENITY DESCRIPTIONS, PET and CHECK IN & CHECK OUT policies and other important and/or helpful info below before booking:
1. Please do not put food waste down the kitchen sink drain. There is NO garbage disposal.
2. CHECK IN - is anytime after 3pm & CHECK OUT is 11am. Other times require approval of hosts.
3. PET POLICY We adore dogs but they must be pre-approved before booking. We do not accept cats due family & guest allergies/sensitivities. Most critically - no pups 6 mos or younger, vaccinations/flea/tick protection up to date, house-broken, not allowed on bedding or furniture, not left in space unattended unless in a kennel, etc.
Once a dog is approved by us, there is a one time $25 pet fee. Approved pets are typically non-shedding pets. Shedding pets may require a larger cleaning fee and/or security deposit. We reserve the right to charge an additional $75 if we find significant shedding on furniture and bedding after you depart. As well, additional damages may be charged for any extremely excessive shedding, soiling or damage caused by unsupervised pets. Please ensure pets are not allowed on bedding /furnishings or left unattended to avoid this issue.
4. If you color/dye your hair please place a dark towel over the pillow to protect the linens while sleeping. Please do not use hair color in the shower.
4. HOST ACCESS: For scheduled maintenance only when absolutely necessary between the hours of 11am-4pm with guest notification/approval.
5. We enjoy guiding guests with sightseeing and help many with their Olympic Peninsula itinerary. For your convenience, we send an email with links to local sights and information.
6. A guest book will be in your room with important info such as emergency contacts and safety info, WiFi, cable and other helpful instructions, local brochures and transportation schedules, hospitality policies, etc.
7. Hospital, daytime clinic, and urgent medical attention are available minutes away. As well, groceries, shops, ferry access, and restaurants are minutes away.
8. Check out is easy. While we appreciate all our guests do to tidy and cleaning up after themselves, there's no need to make the bed. We strip and launder all linens between reservations. Save yourself the time! Please rinse and place dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Put all food waste in the trash receptacles (no garbage disposal). Please wash pots/pans/knives by hand and either dry by hand, or place on the sink drying rack. That's it.
9. For Host and Guest security we have exterior security cameras. These cameras do not pose issue with guest privacy as they do not monitor or have visibility to the interior or guest space. We want to ensure everyone, their vehicles and belongings are safe while preserving privacy.
