The Zen Den is a well-equipped private compact studio in the Aloha Shores beach bungalow complex located in the heart of Ocean Beach! It has an awesome beachy ambiance & is just a short 5 minute walk to the beach and everything great OB has to offer! The Zen Den has its own private fenced grass yard and entrance, kitchenette, and clean and cozy bathroom. It’s the perfect spot for single travelers, professionals and couples who just want the bare necessities close to the beach. Pet friendly too!

The Zen Den is back!! Alex and Jeremy are proud to bring back this super special tiny private paradise after losing it during the COVID pandemic. The Zen Den is one of the most affordable and desirable beach bungalow rentals near the beach in the world famous Ocean Beach neighborhood, and has been a favorite repeat destination for many of our past guests - with or without your pups!
Aloha Shores is a private complex including 3 separate beach bungalow rentals. The complex has secure keypad entry exclusively for guests, and each unit is also individually secured and private.
Aloha Shores is a pet friendly community, and we love to welcome and host your well-behaved and considerate furry friends. The bungalows are a short 5 minute walk to the world famous OB Dog Beach - which is San Diego's original and largest off-leash dog beach since 1972. The "people section" of Ocean Beach, which is one of California's very finest, is equally as close and accessible. As a guest of Aloha Shores, you are also right in the heart of all of the vibrant culture of Ocean Beach, or OB, which has been called California's most authentic remaining beach town. There is a vast selection of incredible restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping, street art, and everything else OB is known for within a short walk from your bungalow.

As a guest of The Zen Den you will have private & exclusive access to the entire bungalow with it's own private entrance and grass turf yard, and one reserved parking spot is included per booking.

Early check in and late checkout are often available, but not guaranteed. Please contact the host the day before your check in date to make a request and we will do everything possible to accommodate!
Also, the reserved off-street parking spaces at Aloha Shores are smaller and designed for compact cars, although many larger vehicles often will fit with no problem - we can not guarantee this. In order to use the reserved parking space, your vehicle must fit within the space length-wise, and not protrude into the alley which will block it and become a hazard to your vehicle and other drivers. There is usually ample street parking available within 100 yards most times.
