About this place

Relax and unwind after a long day in the bedroom/living room on the third floor of our home. The very cozy completely private bedroom/living room features a double bed, TV with streaming channels and a sitting area. The kitchenette features a mini refrigerator, microwave, small toaster oven, and Keurig coffeemaker and is located steps away from your bedroom. Coffee, water and light snacks are provided. Private bathroom. Not a good listing for guests planning to stay home during the day.

The space

Entrance is through the front door which leads directly to stairs to access your rooms. Room dividers keep host living area completely separate from guests, however hosts live on the property and will be here for your entire stay. Hosts will only go upstairs to sleep. We will respect your privacy, while being present most of the times.

Strong WIFI is available in all areas.

Perfect for guests seeing friends, and/or exploring the local and NYC environment because hosts are semi-retired and are around working in the yard or preparing crafts most of the day.

At the start of Covid we began a crafting business for fun which now has weaved into a part time job. You can check us out on Etsy under Lizzycolors if you would like.

Guest access

If you are driving a car to City Island we can provide a parking space in our driveway for your convenience. There is also street parking if you prefer.

If you will be using public transportation, there is an MTA bus stop at the corner (approximately 300 feet from home) with a route to Pelham Bay Station where you can catch either a luxury bus or the #6 train to get into Manhattan or busses to Orchard Beach, the Botanical Gardens, the Bronx Zoo or head over to Bay Plaza for some shopping.

Uber and Lift are also accessible from our home.

During your stay

Hosts live on the premises and are available anytime for easy check-in or to answer any questions. Because of Covid-19 we limit in-person interactions with guests as much as possible but answer texts via AirBnb almost immediately.

Other things to note

Two medium sized dogs live on premises. A very friendly 14 year-old dog named Leo, and a very friendly but scared 4 year old dog named Franklin. They are never allowed access to guest rooms. They will likely announce your entrance and departures but will otherwise be very quiet.
